The Suryakencana area in Bogor City is a multicultural culinary destination that offers a diversity of food businesses within a single urban space; however, information regarding the characteristics and distribution of these businesses is still not systematically managed, limiting visitors’ access to information. This community service activity aims to optimize spatial mapping and visual signage in supporting the development of culinary tourism along the Suryakencana Corridor. The partners involved are 50 culinary business owners who are members of the Suryakencana Traders Association. The implementation method uses a mixed approach, including Geographic Information System (GIS)-based spatial mapping, hotspot analysis to identify clusters of business activity, participatory stakeholder engagement, and the application of color-coded visual signage to facilitate the identification of business characteristics. Data were collected through field observations, documentation, and Pre-test and Post-test questionnaires using a Likert scale. The results show that culinary businesses are concentrated in high-activity points that serve as strategic locations for intervention. After implementation, the average perception score increased from 3.03 to 4.31, indicating improved understanding, better business practices, and increased awareness of the importance of information transparency for visitors. The intervention also encouraged a shift toward more proactive communication through the availability of visual information in the field. This activity demonstrates that the integration of spatial mapping and simple visual signage can enhance information delivery effectiveness and make it easier for visitors to determine culinary choices according to their preferences.

Lilis Sri MulyawatiArdiatno YanuadiM.
Make Up Artist (MUA) Aprilianafast, a makeup service business located in Klaten and its surroundings. In the MUA service sector, especially in areas such as Klaten and its surroundings, competition is very tight. Customers currently tend to search for information, view portfolios, and compare services online before choosing a MUA. The background of this activity is based on the absence of centralized official digital media, so information about profiles, portfolios, services, and prices is still scattered on social media and difficult to access in a structured manner by potential clients. The purpose of this activity is to assist in creating a profile website that will be used to disseminate information about services at MUA Aprilianafast. The implementation method includes: Needs analysis to identify key content relevant to the target audience; website design to compose a navigation structure; visual design according to brand identity; implementation and testing, namely, to develop the website and then conduct black box testing to ensure the function runs well. Interface design prioritizes the principles of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) with a responsive design and in accordance with the visual identity of the beauty industry. The resulting MUA profile website provides information about the MUA's profile, portfolio, services and pricing, testimonials, and contact information. Black-box testing of the profile website showed that all key functions worked as designed.
Chaska Andra PradityaSri SiswantiAndriani KusumaningrumSetiyowati SetiyowatiHasman Budiadi

Digital transformation has become a key catalyst in improving community quality of life, yet its implementation often neglects cultural context and local wisdom. This study aims to develop a conceptual framework for community empowerment based on digital technology integrated with cultural values, thereby fostering social and economic sustainability. The method employed is Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), with a case study of a village community in Surakarta engaged in digital literacy and creative economy development. The program stages include: needs assessment and local potential mapping, digital literacy training, mentoring of MSMEs in technology adaptation, integration of cultural narratives into digital products, and sustainability evaluation through socio-economic indicators. The program was conducted over six months (September 2025–February 2026) in Sukamaju Village, Karanganyar. Results indicate significant improvements before and after program implementation: enhanced digital capacity, increased number of MSMEs entering digital markets, higher community income, and stronger cultural identity preservation. These findings confirm that optimizing the integration of technology with local wisdom not only strengthens digital capacity but also reinforces cultural identity, expands economic opportunities, and builds social resilience. The conclusion highlights that digital transformation rooted in local values creates inclusive, relevant, and sustainable social innovation. The CBPR-based empowerment model proved adaptive to digital disruption while strengthening a resilient socio-economic ecosystem. This research contributes to evidence-based policymaking for local governments, academics, and communities, emphasizing that social sustainability requires not only technology adoption but also the utilization of local values as its foundation.
Maria Atik Sunarti EkowatiKristyana DanantiSri Wening

The Karang Mumus sub-watershed in Samarinda City faces ecosystem degradation due to domestic waste pollution, riparian land conversion, and generally low urban ecological literacy. As future decision-makers in the management sector, graduate management students require direct exposure to urban ecological realities so their understanding extends beyond theoretical discourse. This community engagement activity aims to internalize watershed-based ecological values, strengthen students' ecological literacy through experiential learning, and build an ecological ethic as a foundation for eco-literate leadership. The method applied is a participatory educative approach implemented through four stages field observation, semi-structured interviews with a community resource person, focused group discussion, and direct experiential learning involving 24 students of the Master of Management Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur on 10 May 2026, accompanied by Mr. Misman, initiator of the Karang Mumus River School community (GMSS-SKM). The results show a shift in students' perspectives from viewing the river merely as a physical channel toward a holistic understanding of the watershed as a catchment system connected to domestic activities. Students gained new understanding of simple, locally-sourced wastewater treatment concepts, the ecological function of riparian vegetation, the impact of pesticide residues on water quality, and the distinction between "visual green" and "ecological green." The activity concluded with hands-on tree planting as a concrete manifestation of the ecological values learned. This activity serves as an ecological trigger that lays a cognitive and motivational foundation for students to integrate sustainability perspectives into their future managerial practices and academic research.
Vemi Eka HastantiSinta SintaFenty FauziahFitriansyah Fitriansyah

Musholla Al Amin in Rebalas Village, Grati District, Pasuruan Regency, faced sanitation problems related to toilet feasibility, wet-area safety, the arrangement of the ablution area, drainage flow, access to clean water, and facility maintenance practices. The initial condition showed that the musholla had only one toilet unit, slippery wet-area flooring, an unorganized ablution area, poor drainage flow, and no written sanitation maintenance schedule. This community service program aimed to evaluate the technical condition of sanitation facilities and optimize their function through physical improvement, sanitation education, and community-based participatory maintenance assistance. The program was implemented using a participatory technical assistance approach involving 17 participants, consisting of foundation administrators, musholla administrators, local residents, and facility users. Data were collected through technical observation, semi-structured interviews, needs-assessment discussions, visual documentation, pre-test and post-test assessments, and post-program monitoring. The feasibility of sanitation facilities was assessed based on seven indicators: toilet condition, ablution area, access to clean water, drainage system, floor condition, wet-area safety, and facility cleanliness. The results showed that the sanitation facility's feasibility score increased from 35% before the intervention to 85% after the improvement. In the educational aspect, participants’ understanding of healthy sanitation and facility maintenance increased from 15% in the pre-test to 75% in the post-test. In addition, the frequency of facility maintenance increased from an average of once per week to two to three times per week after the education session and the development of a maintenance commitment. These findings indicate that integrating technical evaluation, physical facility optimization, sanitation education, and participatory assistance can improve the sanitation quality of a place of worship while strengthening community involvement in sustaining facility maintenance.
Rif'atul KhusniahRofila El MaghfirohKharisma Nur CahyaniYehezkiel Septian YoganataYessi WidyasariNur Laily Lupita Sari

The development of information technology and social media facilitates the dissemination of information, but also increases the risk of spreading fake news or hoaxes among students. Low digital literacy skills make students vulnerable to receiving and spreading information without first verifying it. This Community Service activity aims to increase students' understanding of the dangers of hoaxes, improve digital literacy skills, and train information verification skills using digital technology. The partners in this activity were 86 grade 10 students of SMA Negeri 1 Bontang. The activity was implemented through educational seminars, interactive lectures, discussions, case simulations, and direct practice using the Google Lens and Gemini applications for technology-based fact-checking. The activity was carried out for two days, namely on September 8-9, 2025. The level of activity success was measured through participant observation, pre- and post-tests, and participant reflections after the activity. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of the meaning of hoaxes, the characteristics of false information, and the importance of digital literacy in the use of social media. In addition, students were able to practice using Google Lens and Gemini to verify information independently. This activity also had a positive impact on changing students' attitudes, encouraging them to be more critical, wise, and responsible in receiving and disseminating digital information. Therefore, digital literacy-based anti-hoax education can be an effective way to foster a healthy digital culture among students.
M. Ari PrayogoFebri RamandaKharisma Kharisma

Feed costs are the largest component in fish farming businesses, accounting for more than 60% of total production costs. This condition is also experienced by fish farmer groups in Patumbak Village, Deli Serdang Regency, which still depend on commercial feed, resulting in high operational costs and reduced profits. On the other hand, the area has local resources that can be utilized as alternative feed ingredients, one of which is chicken feather waste, which contains a high protein content. However, the limited knowledge and skills of the partners in producing self-made feed have become the main obstacle to utilizing this potential. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of fish farmer groups in producing self-made feed based on chicken feather waste to enhance the efficiency of fish farming businesses. The partner of this activity was a fish farmer group managed by Mr. Denianto in Patumbak Village, Deli Serdang Regency. The implementation methods included socialization, self-made feed production training, feed production practice, mentoring, and evaluation. The results showed an improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills regarding feed formulation and self-made feed production. The partners were able to utilize chicken feather waste as an alternative feed ingredient, thereby reducing their dependence on commercial feed. Furthermore, the program had a positive impact on production cost efficiency, strengthened group collaboration, and encouraged more environmentally friendly utilization of livestock waste. This program is expected to support the sustainability of fish farming businesses and improve the welfare of fish farming communities in Deli Serdang Regency.
Nurjamiyah NurjamiyahHaida DafitriZaharuddin ZaharuddinKalvin ChiulutoSumi KhairaniLisa Adriana

The development of digital communication requires public institutions to effectively utilize social media as a medium for publication, documentation, and information dissemination to the public. Bawaslu Buleleng Regency, as an election supervisory institution, has a substantial need for documentation and publication activities to support participatory election supervision campaigns, electoral education, and the dissemination of information related to election and regional election oversight. However, digital publication management still faces several challenges, including limited human resources in the public relations division, inadequate smartphone-based digital content production skills, and the suboptimal utilization of smartphones as tools for institutional documentation and publication activities. This community service program aimed to optimize smartphone-based digital content production competencies among the staff and employees of Bawaslu Buleleng Regency in supporting the documentation and publication of election and regional election oversight activities. The methods employed included partner needs assessment, digital visual communication training, smartphone photography and videography training, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding and skills in smartphone-based digital content production. The average pre-test score of 58.57 increased to 92.86 in the post-test, representing an improvement of 58.5%. Furthermore, participants were able to apply photography, videography, and basic editing techniques using smartphones to produce more effective publication content for institutional social media platforms. These findings demonstrate that smartphone-based digital content production training is effective in enhancing human resource capacity to support election and regional election oversight publication through digital media.
I Gusti Ngurah Aan DarmawanRoni Han WasistoI Gusti Agung Ngurah Agung Yudha PramiswaraNiluh Wiwik Eka PutriKetut YuniatiI Gede Teguh Heriawan
